Site X-Ray

A visualization tool that uses an extremely simple but effective technique to allow web site owners to view site usage patterns in the context of interface design.  The X-Ray transforms a web page into a usage meter, blacking out backgrounds and displaying all links with brightness proportional to the popularity of the page linked to.  The result is an instantly comprehensible snapshot of the relationship between usage and layout. The image below shows part of a page from (at left) and its X-Rayed version (at right).
